It’s a book that will remind your grandchildren that there is plenty of excitement and fun waiting for the next time you see them.

This is how it all started…

My name is Debbie Coughlan, and I publish books with my company Loving Thoughts.  I have six wonderful grandchildren who live in two different countries and three children.

I always wanted to do a book for my grandchildren, especially after being unable to see them for such a long time during COVID. The book came to be with help from my daughter-in-law, and our friend Dawn Stilwell.

This book was written about a time we could not be near our loved ones who lived down the road or especially across the border, whom I couldn’t see for a longer time of period.

I saw a commercial on TV, and had an idea for this book: Grandchild, When I See You Again. It is about the the normal everyday things that a grandparents can do with their grandchildren in the course of one day.

Some of my friends and family members still have grandchildren who live around the world. They may not see their grandchildren as much as they would like. My hope was that grandparents could send this book to them to let them know that they will have plenty of excitement and fun waiting for them when they see them again.

A lot of love was passed down from my parents to myself and siblings, to their grandchildren and great grandchildren. I am so happy that my parents have such a loving relationship with all their grandchildren and great grandchildren.

The best job of my life is being a grandparent.

My message to young and older people is to never give up in your dream or what you want to do in life. You are never too old or young to try something new in life. In the last two years, I wrote a song (“You Pulled Me Back” – Jan 2022), and now a children’s book with another hopefully in the next year.

I feel it is very important, that we teach, and show children to love themselves, each other and God, most of all.

Our book is available for purchase at the Sarnia Book Keeper and also at ArtZ Den in Petrolia. You can also order the book thru Amazon.
